Our Campingaz 907 bottle is ideal for long motorhome trips where you need to cook or use lighting for days at a time, or alternatively, the Campingaz 904 is a smaller canister that is great for weekend adventures, especially when you’re travelling light.

Butane Gas Bottles

Butane gas is a popular and essential choice for camping and caravanning. It can be used for portable heating and for lighting barbecues quickly and efficiently.

Our large butane gas bottles are perfect for prolonged use in motorhomes or when caravanning, or if you require gas for portable use when camping, we’d suggest a smaller size.

How long will a butane gas bottle last? If you use a 15Kg Butane cylinder with your heater on minimum setting, it will provide approximately 136 hours of heat. On the medium setting, it will give around 75 hours of continuous heat and when set at maximum, it should give 49 hours of heat.

Propane Gas Cylinders

We have a large selection of propane gas bottles which are available in a variety of sizes from a small 3.9kg to a whopping 47kg!

Our propane gas is ideal for heating, external cooking and barbecuing. So, if you’re planning a caravan touring holiday, make sure that you have a propane gas cylinder for all of your camping needs – it certainly beats the charcoal barbecue or camp fire for effectiveness and efficiency!

What’s the Difference Between Propane and Butane Gas Bottles?

Propane and butane gas have many similarities, though there are some distinct differences. The most significant difference between these two gases is the point of boiling, as propane has a boiling temperature of -42°C, whilst butane has a much higher boiling point, at -2°C.

Whilst this may not mean much to the average person, it’s extremely important when it comes to choosing which type of gas to take on your motorhome holiday. Propane is ideal for use in colder climates due to its lower boiling temperature and exerts significantly more pressure than butane at the same temperature, meaning it’s ideal for exterior storage and use all year round.
