The Benefits of  4.5KG Butane Gas Bottles

A 4.5KG cylinder is a much lighter cylinder option when compared to other options such as the 7KG butane cylinder. When it comes to use in campervans this is beneficial as vehicle weight not only affects fuel consumption but most campervans need to stay below the 3.5T laiden weight when on the road for legal reasons. Not only is it a lighter choice but it is physically smaller. Whilst this has little impact when gas cylinders are underslung on the chassis, with Butane and its slightly higher boiling point (-2 degrees celsius) it is best to store these cylinders in gas lockers within the campervan. This means that the smaller the cylinder the more space saved for other storage purposes. A 4.5KG cylinder is a very efficient fuel source and despite the boiling point differences when compared to a 3.9KG propane gas cylinder, it is a very popular choice.
